(Another) Valerie Beauty Minerals Haul

Sigh...I know, I'm bad! Here are some more acquisitions from Valerie Beauty's liquidation sale. I finally laid my hands on Fall, a beautiful green-gold-brown shimmery shadow that had been out-of-stock on the site for so long. One day I just happened to browse and there it was! I quickly checked out lest it vanishes again. Fire Opal is a beautiful, shimmer eyeshadow which is probably a cousin of Miranda. I'd love to use this as a lid color. I also got the famous O-My! blush which is Val's version of the NARS Orgasm blush. The shade looks so festive and pretty, I should have worn this during the holidays (but I only got my package after Christmas since we were out of town). And who wouldn't notice Ancient? I love greens, and this olive-y dark, shimmery with a little bit of sage green just beckoned me. I can't wait to try this as a crease color or liner. Another plus for Valerie's minerals is that they foil beautifully, unlike some other minerals that are mere splotchy glitter bombs when foiled.

I also like the Nectar Kiss matte blush, which would probably look best with my mineralized skinfinishes and glows, or I can wear it on its own when I don't feel like wearing shimmers. I like the pretty vibrant coral color, as well. I think the best part of this haul was my Starlet Glow illuminizer. I absolutely love the low-wattage sheen it imparts, the glow is very, very subtle, so it's perfect even for daytime wear. It makes a beautiful bronzer and looks great when worn over blushes for a nice, healthy, warm look. I really love Valerie's illuminizers because they don't really have shimmer to them, just a nice, subtle but noticeable glow. Everytime I wear this, I look surprisingly tanned and glowy but definitely not orange! The only thing I don't like about Starlet Glow is the name. It sounds tacky, eh? Perhaps I can take out the word "starlet" and just call it Glow? Whatcha think, Val?

OoOo... nice haul! :] Those are all REALLY pretty shades. I wanted to try Val's O-My! blush but it was sold out when I ordered. :( AND that other blush you picked up "Starlet Glow" is a gorgeous color. I'll have to look into that color next time I order from Val. Anywho, thanks for stopping by my blog. :D I did use a foundation as a highlight in my contouring video, and it was from mineral boutique. :]
