OPI Hawaii Swatches and Review Part 1

Press sample

Summer is almost here! It's hitting the 100s now in Arizona, so what better way to welcome the summer heat than to wear bright, blazing hot nail polish shades. OPI comes up with its 2015 summer collection called OPI Hawaii. I believe they aptly named the collection, as we think of warm weather, summer, bright bikinis and tanned skin when we think of Hawaii.

Here are the first six shades of OPI Hawaii collection, and my thoughts on these.

OPI That's Hula-Rious!

OPI That's Hula-Rious! is one of my favorite colors from the collection, just because I am a sucker for mint greens. It is very springy and a nice mint green cream.

OPI My Gecko Does Tricks is a shimmery grass green. I like greens so this is right up my alley. I still prefer the mint green That's Hularious! over this one.

OPI Do You Take Lei Away?

OPI Do You Take Lei Away? is my perfect mannequin hands. It really does blend into my skintone. It is a cream nude that looks just like mannequin hands on me.

OPI Go With The Lava Flow

OPI Go With The Lava Flow is so beautiful! It's a fiery orange coral with gold flashes. One of my absolute favorites from this collection.

 OPI Aloha From OPI

OPI Aloha From OPI

OPI Aloha From OPI is an almost neon bright coral cream. Formula is fantastic and is creamy and opaque in two thin coats.

OPI Lost My Bikini in Molokini

OPI Lost My Bikini in Molokini

OPI Lost My Bikini in Molokini is a blue base purple cream, which is my favorite kind of purple. I prefer blue-based purples to red-based ones. I think these kinds of purples look better on my warm-toned skin.

All in all, this first batch off OPI Hawaii nail lacquers are great. I don't have any problems with these. I particularly like That's Hula-rious, Go With the Lava Flow, Lost My Bikini in Molokini and Aloha from OPI. The creams were a dream to apply and are opaque in two coats.

These nail lacquers are now available at your select retail stores like ULTA, salons and other outlets nationwide. (SRP $9.50)

Watch out for Part 2 of the OPI Hawaii swatches on this blog!
