I had the opportunity to play with the Kat Von D Star Studded Eye Shadow Book.  While it may not be Kat Von D's most popular palette, I have enjoyed playing with the colors.  This palette contains 24 eye shadows, and the shadows are grouped into six coordinating color quads.  The palette is divided into four quadrants.  The first shadow in each quadrant is the neutral base, then the lid shade, the bottom left is the crease shade and the accent shade is the bottom right.

For instance, on the top left quadrant, the suggested neutral base is Solar, Nephilim is the lid shade, Platonic is the crease shade and Mandala is the accent shade.

I like that the colors are organized that way, it is a definite fool-proof way to  mix and match shades.  However, in the look below, I didn't really use specific quadrants for my eye look, but I still liked the effect.

As you see in the swatches, the colors are rich and pigmented.  Some, however, are chalky and not pigmented, like Solar, Moz, Heaven Knows, and Crosses.  However, I do like the rest - very bold, rich, and glides well on the lids.

Wearing Kat Von D Star Studded Eye Shadow Book in Crosses and Brass Knuckles on the lid, Smiths and Leather on outer lid, Mandala as accent color on crease.

My favorite shade has got to be Mandala.  It's such an amazing color and I am glad that it is 2015 Pantone Color of the Year for 2015.  It really gave life to my eye look above. I am really excited to use this color in a lot of my upcoming eye looks.

All in all, I am truly liking many colors in this palette, particularly Mandala, Nephilim, Depeche, Black Star, Covenant.

You mean Mandala right? I don't see a shade called Marsala in this palette or is it just me? I really love the look of this palette. Except from the blues, I can't Wear blue eyeshadow, I look like an 80'ies mishap when I try, even blended out with a nice camel shade in the crease. But this palette really looks good, and I love the look that you did, stunning!
