China Glaze Halloween 2014 Apocalypse of Color Collection

Halloween is almost here!  What better way to herald the coming of this much-awaited holiday in terms of nail color and nail art, than to show some perfectly-timed Halloween-themed collections like China Glaze's Apocalypse of Color?

I have all of the colors including the glow-in-the-dark one called Ghoulish Glow, but I had a hard time capturing that in photos, so I am showing you the rest of the colors today.

Here are my swatches of the China Glaze Halloween 2014 Apocalypse of Color Collection, and my thoughts on these.

China Glaze But Of Corpse

China Glaze But Of Corpse

China Glaze But Of Corpse is hands-down my ultimate favorite out of all the colors from this collection.  It's a beautiful zombie-color- green textured polish with black glitter.  Totally disgusting but totally amazing.

China Glaze I Love Your Guts

China Glaze I Love Your Guts has the same finish as But Of Corpse.  It's a magenta textured polish with lots of black glitter bits.  I like this one too, but I like But Of Corpse a tad better.

China Glaze Getting To Gnaw You

China Glaze Getting To Gnaw You

China Glaze Getting To Gnaw You is a beautiful espresso-bronze glitter polish.  It is fully opaque in two coats.  Also one of my favorites from this collection.

China Glaze Rest in Pieces Glitter Topper over China Glaze Carpe Diem

China Glaze Rest in Pieces Glitter Topper over China Glaze Carpe Diem

China Glaze Rest in Pieces is a beautiful glitter topper that has gold bar glitter, bigger black hex, smaller gold hex and black micro-glitter in a clear base.  I just love how it stood out against the light background in the swatches above.  Super love this.

China Glaze Don't Let the Dead Bite

China Glaze Don't Let the Dead Bite

China Glaze Don't Let the Dead Bite is my least favorite from the collection.  Totally not feeling this one.  If China Glaze is aiming for a disgusting bloodied flesh color, they've truly succeeded.  The flesh-colored base with red glitter is not a good color for me.

All in all, this is a unique collection, and I particularly love But Of Corpse, Getting to Gnaw You (love the name!) and Rest in Pieces.  This is a solid Halloween collection, and I commend China Glaze for not coming up with the ubiquitous orange shade this year!
