NARS Contour Blush in Paloma Swatches, Look, Review

I was pretty excited to try the new NARS Contour Blush in Paloma ($42.00/0.28 oz.). I was pretty stoked because I've never tried another bronzer/contour blush from NARS aside from Laguna. This product has two colors: a highlighter and a contour powder and blush in one. The highlighter strip is narrower than the contour blush.

The packaging is typical NARS in its quintessential black rubber compact. It's a little bigger than typical NARS blushes, but the same size as the 6-shadow palettes or the Andy Warhol shadow palettes.

Here are my swatches and a look using the NARS Contour Blush in Paloma:

Wearing the contour blush as contour with a separate blush

I love how finely-milled this product is.  It goes on really smooth and easy on the skin.  The contour color is just the perfect shade for my skintone; a lighter one would probably be too light.

The highlighter shade has a nice, lighter shade but is not as glowy as I'd thought it would be.  It looks a little patchy in the swatches, but if applied lightly using a stippling brush, it looks beautiful on the skin.

All in all, I am loving this compact.  I like that it has both a highlight and a contour powder that can also double as a blush.  A multi-tasker like this is perfect for travel, or during manic days when you don't have the time to scrounge around for separate products.  I love the jet-milled texture and the ease in application.  It is a little pricey for $42.00, but considering that you get 2 (or 3 if you consider the contour as a blush) products in one, I think this is a good value.
