Nicole by OPI 2014 Core Collection Swatches, Review Part 1

 Press sample

I was able to try the Nicole by OPI core collection colors, and I am so excited to share with you my swatches.  Since Nicole by OPI has OPI as its parent company, rest assured that they have the same high quality has that of OPI nail lacquers.  I will split this review into two posts.  Here is part one of my Nicole by OPI 2014 Core Collection swatches:

Nicole by OPI Something About Spring

Nicole by OPI Something About Spring is a bright blue-toned pink.  It looks very pretty on the nails and it does remind me of spring, and I would imagine this to be a great pedicure color.  It would look amazing on the toes with flipflops or strappy sandals.

Nicole by OPI This Blue Is So You

Nicole by OPI This Blue Is So You is a very dark navy blue.  I like these kinds of dark denim blues, as I don't see this much, especially in a great cream formula.

Nicole by OPI That's Putting It Mild

Nicole by OPI That's Putting It Mild is obviously a nice putty cream.  I call these kinds of shades my "palate-cleansers", as these kinds of neutral colors are a welcome break from all the brights and glitters that I would usually wear.  Not that this would prevent me from applying glitter over it!  See below:

Nicole by OPI Always a Flirt!

Nicole by OPI Always a Flirt!

Nicole by OPI Always a Flirt! is a bright red with flashes of magenta.  It's a pretty, feminine shade, and the color does remind me of spring.

Nicole by OPI I'll Have the Salmon

Nicole by OPI I'll Have the Salmon

Nicole by OPI I'll Have the Salmon is a pretty salmon-y cream, as the name suggests.  It's not very unique as I have many similar shades in my collection, but if you don't have a color like this yet, this is a must-have for spring and summer.

Nicole by OPI Teal Me Something New

Nicole by OPI Teal Me Something New is one of my top favorites from the core collection.  It's a straightforward, but very pretty, teal cream.  It applies like a dream and formula is great.

All in all, I am loving the Nicole by OPI formula - it is a little bit thinner in consistency than OPI, but still applies great.  I don't have any major complaints about the Nicole by OPI shades that I just showed.

Watch out for Part 2 of the Nicole by OPI 2014 Core Collection Swatches and Review on this blog!
