Formula X for Sephora Nail Color in Brainchild and Blazing Swatches, Review

Press sample

I was given the chance to try out some Formula X for Sephora Nail Colors.  This is Sephora's gargantuan line of nail lacquers after it discontinued the Sephora by OPI.  As I'd mentioned in my previous post on Formula X for Sephora in Juju, Formula X for Sephora is one of the most talked-about new nail polish lines in the industry today. Sephora came out with over 200 polishes in a very extensive line of different finishes, effects, and shades. The entire range is truly unprecedented. I was able to try some of the colors from the Formula X line, and all the nail polishes I've tried truly stood out in terms of formula (can you say one coater?) and staying power, so much so that I purchased the 22 piece nail color set from this line called The Twenty Two (swatches and review will be up soon!).

Below are my swatches of Sephora Formula X nail colors in Brainchild and Blazing.

Formula X for Sephora Nail Color in Brainchild

Formula X for Sephora in Brainchild is from the line's The New Classics group.  This is such an extensive line of nail lacquers that naming the different finishes really helps in organizing and finding shades.  Brainchild is described as a deep violet.  This is truly a one-coater polish, but I used two coats in the swatches to make the color stand out more.  The only other brand of cream polishes that are perfect one-coaters that I've tried aside from Formula X is American Apparel.  Formula X applies like a dream and never gave me any issues.  It is color-saturated, perfect formula.

Formula X for Sephora Nail Color in Blazing is the perfect name for this nail color.  It is such a fiery red, it reflects little flames on the nails when sunlight hits it.  Blazing is part of the Metallics group in the Formula X line.  It's a bright, metallic red that is truly eye-catching.

All in all, I am truly loving this new line of nail polishes from Sephora.  As I'd mentioned, I love them so much that I bought the 22-piece nail lacquer said called The Twenty Two.  Watch out for swatches and a review of those on this blog.
