Glossybox's Le Grand Bleu Collection box is all about warm, balmy summer nights, and summer cdays with crystalline skies and cerulean seas. These are some of your summer essentials that make the summer season all the more alluring.
Here are the items in this July box, and my thoughts on these.
Believe me, I have tons of nail polish, but this is my first time to own a Nails Inc. nail polish. I gotta say I was really impressed with the vibrant blue of this shade, my camera couldn't take the bright blue hue! It's actually a UK brand, and the pigmentation is great. It is opaque in one coat, but for optimum results, apply two coats.
BVLGARI Eau Parfumee au the Blanc Shampoo & Shower Gel is a heavenly-scented bath product, and smells just as luxurious as the name BVLGARI. To me it smells a bit androgynous, but it's not a bad thing.
Brazilian Blowout Acai Deep Conditioning Masque
I have never tried any kind of deep conditioning masque before, but I was pretty impressed with this one. I've never had any hair issues in the past, but lately, my hair has been really dry because of the weather, and also because it's color-treated. This product infused much-needed moisture into the skin without it looking greasy.
Nicka K. New York ABSOLUTE! Makeup Cleansing Tissues
This is probably my favorite item from this box. Makeup cleansing towelettes are a must-have for me. I use them everyday to take off grime, dust, stubborn makeup like mascara/ These cleansing tissues from Nicka K. New York ABSOLUTE! really do deliver. They take stubborn makeup easily, and I just love the scent - so clean and fresh! The surface itself feels really gentle on the skin. I plan to use this during out of town travels, as this is travel-sized and perfect for those quick getaway trips.
Dr. Brandt BB Matte With Signature Shinerase™feels really soft on the skin! Most everyone knows about BB creams, but just for the sake of others who don't know, this product claims to control shine and even skintone. It is also oil-free, and it says on the tube that this is for oily-combination skin.
As with many BB creams, this product does not have medium-full coverage. It has a light coverage with sunscreen (SPF 30 - I like that this has a relatively high SPF). It is more of a tinted moisturizer than a foundation. I do love how it makes the skintone look even and smoothens the appearance of fine lines.
Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Tinted Lip Balm Tube
This is another favorite from this box! I love the packaging, and the scent and texture are amazing. I've never owned a lip balm quite like this. It is not as easy to spread on the lips as other balms as it has a thicker consistency, but I love how it moisturizes the lips and gives a sheer rose tint.
All in all, this is a great box to try if you want to veer away from common, mass-produced beauty products. This is a good subscription service just to have these little luxuries once a month. My favorites are definitely the Figs & Rouge Cherry Blossom Tinted Lip Balm Tube and Nicka K. New York ABSOLUTE! Makeup Cleansing Tissues.
