I love simple, summery cream polishes for this time of the year. It helps to really celebrate the summer when I see bright creams on my tips and toes.
Milani launches that Retro Glam nail polish collection that has five summery cream shades, and one black and white glitter topper called Sprinkles. The other glitter topper in these swatches is called Carnival which is part of Milani Fantastical Plumage collection that I just swatched and reviewed.
Here are my thoughts and swatches on the Milani Retro Glam collection:
Milani Almond Bliss
Milani Almond Bliss is a light yellowish white cream. Because it's a light color, it was a bit more difficult to even out the streaks. I do like though that it's the perfect background to showcase the Sprinkles glitter topper, as the black and white glitters really stand out against the light background.
Milani Creamy Pistachio is the perfect spring green. The Sprinkles glitter topcoat also stand out nicely against the light green background.
Milani Mint Chip is a nice grass green. It might not be wearable to work for those in conservative office settings, but it's a fun color for the weekend.
Milani Strawberry Shake is a light pink (just like strawberry milk!) with a slight shimmer. It's my favorites shade out of all the ones from the Milani Retro Glam collection. I love how girly it is, and the glitter topcoats really look pretty against the strawberry milk shade.
Milani Raspberry Delight is a nice fuchsia shade. It applies like a jelly to me, but the finish is creamy. It's definitely the shade to choose if you want a pedi color. This is great to showcase piggies in sexy strappy heels or flipflops.
All in all, I like the glitter topper in Sprinkles, because it goes well with just about any background color. I particularly like Strawberry Shake, Raspberry Delight and Creamy Pistachio colors. The formula is good, it applies well and dries quick, and is opaque and smooth in two coats. Staying power is also good.
