Bare Minerals Holiday 2012

I am a sucker for brush sets, but I don't want just any other brush set. I want something that is beautiful, perfect for travel, and the packaging must look great. Since I will be bringing this brush set with me when I travel, I want it to look presentable yet can deliver the results that I want.

I posted my Video Post: Bare Minerals Holiday 2012 Makeup Sets Review a few weeks ago, and just like what I mentioned in the video, I really love the packaging of the new Bare Minerals Holiday sets, especially the brush sets. They are in gold and silver packaging, but for The Dream Team brush set, the clutch case is in gold and it gives a very festive and luxurious feel to it. I also like that it's such a compact and small packaging that I can literally just throw this in my purse for touch ups anywhere.

Collection includes:
Soft Focus Face Brush
Contour Blush Brush
Eye Shaping Brush
Tapered Shadow Brush
Eyeliner Brush
Brush Bag

I am like the Soft Focus Face Brush. It has a big, fluffy head which is great for applying powder to set my makeup. I always have to set makeup for it to last longer, so powder blush is a must-have for me. I am also liking the softness of the hairs. It can also double as a blush brush.

The Contour Blush Brush has a slightly bigger head but this is perfect to go under the cheekbones for a sculpted, contoured look.  The crimped ferrule makes it especially good to contour the cheeks because the bristle lay flat against the skin.

I like the Eye Shaping Brush to blend colors and also to apply shadow on the crease.  It has an unusual angled flat top but rounded head which is good for applying crease colors.

The Tapered Shadow Brush is just your usual stiff shader brush.  Kinda boring but it does its job.

The Bent Liner Brush is great for applying gel liners.  I can't think of any other use for this, so if you like gel liners, this is your brush set.

All in all, I am liking the individual brushes especially the Contour Blush Brush.  You can purchase this for $49 at Bare Minerals boutiques.

Note: Media sample was provided by a representative of the brand for consideration.  All opinions are completely mine.
