I was able to try this new kit from OleHenriksen. Ever since I tried OleHenriksen's Black Currant complexion oil, I wanted to try more of this brand's skincare products. That's why I was looking forward to trying this anti-aging kit called OleHenriksen The Whole Truth. It is a 3-piece set and contains the following:

-Truth Serum Collagen Booster
-Truth Creme Advanced Hydration, and
-Total Truth eye crème with SPF 15

I mentioned the products in the order of their application. The serum is the first product from this kit that is to be applied. It contains potent vitamin C, rosehips, green tea and orange extract to boost hydration and help prevent the appearance of anti-aging. I love Vitamin C in my serums because not only is it a powerful anti-oxidant, it also lightens dark spots or any acne scarring. This product is a light serum and refreshes the skin.

The Truth Creme Advanced Hydration is my favorite out of the three products, and its texture is nothing I've ever seen or felt. It is an unusual texture- not quite a cream (because it goes back to a flat, smooth surface even when you dip your finger in the pot), but not quite a gel either, because it moisturizes so much better than gel. It may be a hybrid gel and cream, but my skin loves it. It's very hydrating but not heavy on the skin - which is great especially during these scorching hot days of summer when your skin is dry and wanting moisture, but hates the heavy, sticky feeling. This product has a nice, calm, pleasant zen-ish scent which reminds me of my trips to the spa.

The last product is an eye cream, and I like it a lot because it has sunscreen! You don't know how many times I've longed for eye cream with SPF, because I'd have to apply my moisturizer with sunscreen over my eye area when an eye cream with SPF would have sufficed. Feels very moisturizing around the eye. It contains Omega 3 extracts, micro algae and peptides to hydrate, strengthen and firm skin.

I can't say much about its anti-aging claims as I haven't used this kit long enough to make an informed opinion about it, but I like the products' feel and texture on my skin. I also appreciate the nice, supple skin I wake up to when I use the moisturizer at night. Of course, you also can't go wrong with eye cream with sunscreen!

SRP: $45 per kit. Available at all Sephora stores nationwide starting June 14, 2012.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.5 out of 5
