Pixi Glow Fairy Face Palette Swatches and Review

This palette has a mean secret compartment, I tell ya!  I didn't discover the blush until I was already writing this entry, so I had to take pictures all over again!  Pretty nifty packaging, though.  The Pixi Glow Fairy Face Palette contains 5 eye colours, 3-colour blush palette, 5 lip creams + duo applicator, blush brush, duo lip applicator.  It's a lot of product in one compact package.  The shades are not individually named, but you can see how they look like anyway via the photos.

Swatches:

Eyeshadows:

The eye shadows are all quite shimmery.  I kinda wished they included a matte crease color in this palette because all of the shadows are very shimmery and I kinda wished I have a shade in this palette to tone them down.  However, the shades are really pretty and I am liking the softer shades for inner corner highlight and lower lid washes.  I am particularly liking the champagne shimmer and the peachy one.  They are really soft, pretty shades that will work well for summer.

Lip creams:

The lip creams are like creamy lipsticks in pans.  The consistency is okay, not too slippery but not too dry.    I also like that the shades are saturated but not too heavy, either, because people usually like soft shades for the warmer months.  I surprisingly like all the colors except the light pink one.  Even though they look really dark in the pans, they look lighter and wearable on the lips.

Blush:

Ahh, the secret blush! It took me a long while to find out that it exists, duh! It is a multi-shade shimmer blush. It is not as pigmented as I have hoped for, but I'm thinking that it can work as a great highlighter on the cheekbones come summer time, as the shimmer is really pretty. It gives a nice soft pink sheen, which again is perfect for warmer season.

All in all, this is a good summer palette because the shades are shimmery and not too heavily-saturated with pigment. The blush is a perfect highlighter on the cheekbones and temples for a dewy fresh look. I am especially liking the lip creams because they are easily applied and they are very wearable shades. If you are not into shimmer shadows, I would say skip this palette because the shadows are all about shimmer. However, you can opt to use a shimmer shadow from this kit as a wash on your lids, then use a matte crease color to balance things out.
