Estee Lauder Pure Color Cyber Eyes Gelée Powder Eyeshadow in Cyber Teal Swatches and Review

I was really excited to try out the new, limited edition Estee Lauder Pure Color Cyber Eyes Powder Eye Shadow, a revolutionary "tri-brid" system that is first to come out in the market, just like the Estee Lauder Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelee in Modern Mercury. It's an all-in-one liquid, powder, and gel in one smooth, buttery formula. These babies can be worn wet or dry, which is really exciting for me as we all know that moisture ruins traditional pressed powder shadows. Use dry for a sheerer wash of color, and wet for an intense, vivid shade.

Pure Color Cyber Eyes Gelée Powder Eyeshadow in Cyber Teal applied dry

Applied wet

As you can see, the dry application of the product is a sheer wash of color. The foiling (or wet application) of the product sure kicked the pigmentation up a notch or two. This is great though if you want a sheer wash of color on the lids, simply apply it dry. If you want attention-grabbing lids, you can foil the product using a mixing medium (in this case I used MAC's Charged Water). If you want this product as a liner (the teal is beautiful as a liner to give a pop of color to neutral eye looks), you can apply it wet on the lashline.  Even when applied dry, the Cyber Eyes Gelée Powder Eyeshadow in Cyber Teal is beautiful.

What I like about this product is the versatility. The shade can morph from a sheer wash to an intense packed-on color, depending on how you apply it.

The texture is different as well. Because it is a tribrid, it doesn't look powdery at all. The product has some bounce to it, and how it looks in the compact (like a tiny wave formation) is quite enthralling. With a primer, this lasted all day on my lids (it was my Thanksgiving eye look, too bad I don't have a close-up photo!).

This collection features six new shades of the Pure Color Cyber Eyes Gelée Powder Eyeshadow for $24 each , and six shades of Pure Color Intense Kajal EyeLiners for $20 each. This collection is available for a limited time at your Estee Lauder counters and www.esteelauder.com.
