Here are some swatches of the China Glaze Winter 2011 or the Let It Snow collection. It features twelve shades with an mixture of glitters, foils and other finishes. Here are the first six:

Champagne Bubbles

Champagne Bubbles is a nice gold foil with some gold shimmer, and a little silver glitter. It is a pretty yellow gold that is a staple holiday color.

Icicle

Icicle is a very bold silver foil. Very opaque and this is what I'd imagined silver metallic nails would look like. I like this.

Snow Globe

Snow Globe is a frosty white polish with flecks of snowy-holo color. As you can see in the swatches, it looks horrendous as a polish when applied on its own, but looks great layered over other polishes. I will be posting other nail looks using Snow Globe as a layering polish.

Twinkle Lights

The name aptly describes the polish; it resembles twinkling tree lights of different colors. As with Snow Globe, this works best as a layering polish, because the glitters look very sparse on the nail bed. However, I am not really a fan of this shade. I like the bigger, happier glitters in last holiday collection's Party Hearty.

Blue Year's Eve

This is a nice, bold shimmering blue. Reminds me of OPI's Swimsuit...Nailed It!, but Blue Year's Eve is a little bit softer and doesn't have the glassy finish of Swimsuit.

Tinsel Town

Tinsel Town is a beautiful shade, a bold silver-grey metallic glitter. This one reminds me of Orly Mineral FX in Solid Rock, but Tinsel Town is lighter and doesn't have the multi-colored glitters of Solid Rock.
More to come in Part II!

I'm really looking forward to getting Tinsel Town. It's not like any other polishes I own.
