D.J.V. Beautenizer Mascara Review: Fiberwig® LX and Volume Lash

I had the opportunity to try D.J.V. Beautinizer mascaras from Japan. They are all the rage in Japan and are about to make a U.S. debut. There are basically two variants of the D.J.V. mascaras. The first is the Fiberwig® LX that is your fiber mascara that lengthens the appearance of your lashes. The second is the Volume Lash which plumps up your lashes for more volume and lushness. Let's start with the Fiberwig® LX.

Fiberwig® LX

The Fiberwig® LX operates like those of the fiber mascaras out in the market today. It is basically brush-on fiber extensions that visibly lengthen your lashes because the mascara coats every hair with an intensive fiber-rich film. I have very short, sparse lashes so I am a good model for this product. The crescent-shaped brush allows easier application in order to achieve your desired lash length. It allows the brush to conform to the root of the lashes for a more precise application.

The lashes appear noticeably longer thanks to the Fiberwig LX. However, it is obvious that the lashes are still sparse. We need volume to create lush-looking lashes. That's where Volume Lash comes to play.

It also came with a cute jewelry case!

The Volume Lash, if applied in tandem with the Fiberwig LX, will create the appearance of long, lush lashes. It has double-adhesive ingredients and remained smudge-proof on my lashes the whole day. Volume Lash also contains three conditioning oils to naturally protect and nourish the lashes.

Fiberwig LX with Volume Lash

The D.J.V. Beautenizer website included some tips on how to apply these two products to create longer, lush lashes:

1.Spread Volume Lash evenly over all lashes.
2.Apply Fiberwig® LX to the tips of your lashes until you reach the desired length.

I somehow did the opposite and applied Fiberwig LX first before Volume Lash. It somehow made the lashes look clumpy. Next time, I will apply the Volume Lash first and apply the Fiberwig LX only to the tips of the lashes to minimize the clumpy look.

EDITED TO ADD:

Look at the difference now! I did the right sequence and applied Volume Lash first and Fiberwig LX to the tips of the lashes. Love the effect. Longer lashes and not clumpy at all.

Overall, I like the combination of these two, just because my lashes are quite short and sparse, and need every help they can get! Fiberwig® LX works great in giving the illusion of length to my lashes, while Volume Lash makes the lashes appear more fuller.
