SKINSHEEN LEG SPRAY

MAC came up with the Skinsheen Leg Spray about two or three years ago for a limited time. Now, it's back for good! It's a long-wear gel/mousse body makeup that you can use on arms, legs, decolletage for a sun-kissed bronze look. You can even fake a tan without risking your life under the harmful rays of the sun. The Skinsheen Leg Spray is also water-resistant three times over.

Skinsheen Leg Spray in Dark

As you can see, it is a gel or mousse type of product. It looks very dark on your first pump but it blends quite well to create a realistic bronze look.

Skinsheen in Dark. It wasn't blended that well, but you get the picture.

Medium Dark

As you can see, they are pretty dark, but for lighter skin tones, Medium Dark is definitely more wearable.

This is a good product if you want a sunkissed, bronzed look, especially now that legs are lily-white from being clothed in jeans the entire winter; it would be nice to get some color on those gams! I honestly don't think I would need this product because I like my skin color and my shade is pretty even from head to foot, but for those who'd like to even out their skintone and create a warmth or add more color to their spring skintone, this is for you.

LUSTRE DROPS:

L-R: Pink Rebel, Sun Rush

L-R: Pink Rebel, Sun Rush

I own a lot of mineralize skinfinishes, but the Lustre Drops hold a special place in my makeup stash because they are some of my few liquid highlighters. The MSFs look a tad more powdery or more made up than the Lustre Drops, so I think the latter would be perfect for a day at the beach or any place where a casual, sexy luminosity is needed.

Pink Rebel is a blue pink with gold pearl, while Sun Rush is a peachy bronze with gold pearl. It gives a very nice sheen to the skin and would be a great way to give a bronzey shimmer to parts of the face where the sun hits, most especially the cheekbones. I believe it would also make a great highlighting bronzer for parts of the body like the decolletage.

All in all, I like that MAC thought to bring all these bronzers and highlighters to the permanent collection. I mean, like foundations, they are staple products in our everyday makeup application. They cannot be limited edition because we use them day in and day out, and of course it is a real bummer when you find out that your HG bronzer/highlighter has been sold out because it was limited edition.

My top picks would be the mineralize skinfinishes especially Soft and Gentle, bronzing powder of your choice, and maybe the Lustre Drops.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars.

Both Lustre drops look great on your skin tone. I think I would try Sun Rush myself.
