My Nail Polish Collection as of February 2011

Hey everyone! I spent half a day organizing and fixing my nail polish stash because my old Helmer is already bursting at the seams. I bought my second Helmer today, and I am so glad I did because it reduced the clutter on my desk, and at the same time, I found an organized, neat home for my pretties!

I have two of these off-white Helmers that can store hundreds of polishes. I got them at Ikea for around $43 each. Hubby assembled them for me. I also opted not to include the wheels as I feel they are sturdier without them.

I have hundreds of polishes, but I haven't counted exactly how many. I am planning to give some away because I know I won't be able to use them all. I am into nail art as well, so I am glad I have a stash that can support this interest of mine. I bought around 80% of the nail polishes in my collection. The rest were sent as press samples.  I know these are a lot but I am slowly giving away some (see my nail polish giveaways!), so my readers can also enjoy these polishes.

Here we go!

See my nail polish collection after the jump!

First Helmer:

1st drawer: My first OPI drawer

2nd drawer: Second OPI drawer

3rd drawer: First China Glaze drawer. The bottles wouldn't fit in the space at the edge of the drawer, so I placed my Eyeko and nail art striper polishes to fill up that space.

4th drawer: My second China Glaze drawer. I filled up leftover space with Nfu-Oh, Hard Candy and Misa polishes.

5th drawer: My Zoyas

6th drawer: Orly, Nubar, overflow Zoyas, Sally Hansen

Second Helmer:

1st drawer: Barielle, Essie, Lippmann Collection and Barielle nail treatments

2nd drawer: My Konad/nail stamp art stash. I love Konad and fauxnad nail stamp art, so I have a lot of supplies for this. In this drawer, I place all my special polishes for Konad-ing, as well as regular nail polishes that I also use to stamp the image onto the nail, like China Glaze polishes. I also have here some of the rhinestones I sometimes use to accompany my Konad designs, and of course my image plates that are housed in a box.

My image plates. 95% are original Konad plates. A few are Bundle Monster plates and the jumbo ones are from Chez-Delaney.

3rd drawer: Rescue Beauty Lounge (the ones in individual boxes), my Lippman Collection glitter set, China Glaze Holiday sets

4th drawer: other nail art stuff like water decals, rhinestones, sponge nail art set, nail art pens, nail swatch wheels

5th drawer: Various nail art that I received for consideration/review.

The 6th drawer of the second Helmer is thankfully empty for future use!

My husband is a handyman and he built me some nail polish drawers that I use for many of my polishes as well. They used to be part of my desk but we replaced my desk with a new one, so they now sit underneath the DVR and DVD player.

First drawer contains my MAC nail lacquers, my 2 Sally Hansen Hidden Treasures, random Sally Hansen, Milani and other brands, top and base coats, and my glitter top coats.

Second drawer contains all my Finger Paints (I really like this brand - I think this is a Sally Beauty exclusive), as well as some random polishes in the back.

Whew! Thanks for looking!

Nice stash! I love seeing people's collections. I use a Helmer to store my NP too. I am out of room so I am planning to pick up another for my sanity LOL. Great post.

Wow, great collection! I especially love seeing nail polish collections :) I use a Helmer too but so far only one and a half drawers are dedicated to polish.

Yay! I love seeing how you organize your helmer. I organize by brand, too, though I only have 1 :)

Awesome!

love the way you organized the polishes! so neat and easy to retrieve. I have been finding ways to organize my polishes but unfortunately i have no extra space for a helmer like this :(

Gasp! That is A LOT!!! And how do those die cast stamps work?? This question comes from someone who has never had a manicure (pedicure yes, mani, no) in her life. Hahaha!

Gina- thanks for looking! The second Helmer also saved my sanity, you are going to love your twin Helmers! :)

Jennifer- thank you! Yeah I love Helmers for polish because they are just the perfect height for the bottles. Seems that a lot of people own one (or two) too.

AmyGrace- Zoyas are some of my most treasured NPs :D

Ashley- I tried counting but I failed, couldn't keep the numbers straight. lol

Phyrra- I am sure you have an amazing NP collection!

prettybeautiful- thank you! You can always store them to fit the space in your home, like those sterilite boxes that fit under the bed or something. :)

fullmeasure- I used to be like you; I didn't use NP on the tips and just on the toes, but I guess as I grow older, my hands need more maintenance work; they look more polished and neat that way. There are a lot of YT and blog tutorials on nail stamp art, it's fun!

Starryxuan- thank you! :)

Aya- I guess drowning is the word. LOL

Honey_lili- thanks, the Helmers make it easy to stay organized.
