Bundle Monster Fauxnad Image Plates Review and OPI Gargantuan Green Grape

My Bundle Monster image plates finally arrived a couple of days ago and I was super stoked to receive them.  They were only less than $20 for the entire 21-piece set.  It's a far cry from Konad's $7 something per plate.  I have to admit though that Konad's full-nail images are wider and cover a lot more space than the narrow ones from Bundle Monster, but the images transfer really well onto the stamp and on the nail, so I am very happy with this purchase.  Take a look at some of the images:

Pretty, eh?  I can't wait to try all of them.  I also got these cute rhinestones and different-shaped beads for nail art stuff. I also got them from Bundle Monster via Amazon.com. All of the plates and the rhinestones including shipping only set me back $28 and change!

Here is a Nail Of The Day look using OPI Gargantuan Green Grape konadified using Bundle Monster plate in BM19 and Konad Princess Special Polish in Olive Green.  I like OPI Gargantuan Green Grape because it's not that in-your-face green.  It's actually a light, sheer green that was too sheer to be a 2-coater, so I used 3 coats.  I've had this for a year now but this is the first time I actually used it.

The Princess Polish in Olive Green is a revelation as well.  I am really liking this color and it goes well with OPI GGG.  During the last hurrah on e-codes for Konad e-tailers, I stocked up on a lot of the image plates and special polishes, so I am glad I got this for relatively cheap.

Holding Konad Princess Special Polish in Olive Green

All in all, the Bundle Monster plates are a good deal for the price. The images transfer quite nicely onto the stamp and nail, so I didn't have any issues compared to the cheapie fauxnad plates I got off ebay from Hongkong. If you have a wider nail bed or longer nails, however, you might find the full nail image too narrow or short, depending on the length or width of your nail. I have small fingers and nail beds so these work for me. If you don't need the full nail images, though, you can find nice non-flower images (yeah, as opposed to Konad, there are no flower fixations at Bundle Monster).

You are rocking greens as usual, Aileen (used to love all your green eye looks back when I was still into makeup :) ). You've sealed the deal - I'll be buying these plates too!

I really want to spend some time learning nail art. I purchased a lot of those rhinestones and fruit/animal slices from Ebay. Trying to find the time to play around with them.

How do you store your Konad plates? Right now, they're still in the sleeves they came in, but I'm hoping for a better solution! Thanks :)

Cyn,
I know you didn't ask me but someone on a forum showed us a baseball card notebook with the plastic sleeves in it that are prefect for putting the plates in. There are nine pockets to a page and you can place one behind the other.
I'm going to try to find them but I measured the fauxnads that are oxtagon shape as they are bigger.

Zerin- thank you!

susie1955- thanks, loving these BM plates =)

Belle- once you start nail art, it's very hard to stop! =D

Diana- you will love these =D

Cyn- I have a 4.5" x 4.5" box that is 1.5" deep that I use to store all my plates. I like it better than the baseball card album because it takes so little space and I also keep it in my Helmer. If you have enough space, though, the baseball card album is a good idea. I just want to keep my plates in my Helmer together with all my nail stuff.

Gorgeous! I want to get those plates too!

Silhouette Screams- yeah if only they weren't too narrow, but they have really good full nail designs that are better than Konad's.

Helena- Thanks =)

Nat- try filing the surface of the stamp with your nail file, it works for me.

Are you able to use any nail polish with the plates or is it necessary to use the ones that konad supplies?
