My Take: I've always loved CARGO's blushes and blu_ray™ High Definition pressed powder, but I've never tried its eyeshadows, lipliners or glosses. That is why I was happy to try CARGO's new offering, the Pro Picks collection. I like that it is a complete collection that has something for both the eyes and the lips. I also like that this collection actually has the same CARGO products favored by top artists on Hollywood sets and fashion runways.

Pro Picks houses four full-size CARGO products needed for your look, including a face chart with tips and tricks:

How cool is that? Let's start with the eyeshadows first.

As you can see from the swatches, the colors are very vibrant and pigmented. These swatches were taken with no base, so you can see just how good the color payoff is. These shades are opalescent turquoise, amethyst, aqua green and a cream highlighter that looks really great together. Perfect summer and spring colors.

The Reverse Lip Liner is very interesting. CARGO claims that it is the only lipliner for gloss. The almost invisible flesh-toned liner should be used to line your lips from the outside in. It gives added definition, reduces feathering and a fuller-looking lip, all without the dreaded dark lipliner look.

The Classic Lip Gloss With Timestrip is impressive in the sense that it is non-sticky and very comfortable on the lips. I know that there are people who feel uncomfortable with very sticky lipglosses that sit on top of the lips which can also feel quite hot. I was at ease with the less-tacky feel of this lipgloss. I do wish that it were more pigmented, but I guess it was really designed to be just a nude lipgloss to balance the vibrant colors of the shadows in this collection.

The blu_ray™ Mascara was created for HD filming to provide flawless lashes. CARGO claims that it features a special comb that lengthens, curls, and defines. I have not tried this yet, but I will update this review with my take on this mascara, plus a look using the items from the Pro Picks collection.

All in all, if you like vibrant eyes and luscious nude lips and defined lashes, this collection is for you. I was most impressed with the quality of the eyeshadows and color payoff. I also like the non-sticky feel of the lipgloss although I wish it had more pigment. Combined with the Reverse Lip Liner look, though, it would make a perfect pair of concealer lips.

The Shades Of U rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars
