Introducing Sassy Minerals: An Eye Look and Review

I've had the opportunity to try the newest mineral makeup brand in the market today, Sassy Minerals. I received a variety of mineral products from their site - foundations, blushes, eyeshadows, so I will be making a series of reviews and looks using this brand. I played with some of the eye colors and made a look using the shadows, and I can say that I'm really liking the products so far. I particularly loved the mineral liner called Gasoline Rainbow. The name is SO cool. It is one of the best mineral liners I've tried because the color is gorgeous. It's a smooth black with rainbow sparkles, and the multi-colored speckles in the liners just shine amidst the black background; so pretty!

(See look using Sassy Minerals after the jump)

In the look below, I also used the following Sassy Minerals eye products: Perplexed, a shimmery beige with subtle flashes of green and silver, Best Friend, a non-shimmery, silky creame taupe, and Pandora's Box, a smokey bronze taupe. I used Perplexed foiled on the lid, applied with a stiff shader brush (MAC 239 or the Loew Cornell Maxine's Mop 3/8"). Using the same brush, I applied Best Friend on the crease. Using the same brush, I used Pandora's Box on the crease and outer V, then blended the harsh lines using the MAC 224 brush. I used a yellow-tinged highlighter from the 28-Piece Neutral Eyeshadow Palette applied with the Stila Brush No. 5. Using the Sonia Kashuk bent eyeliner brush, I wetlined Gasoline Rainbow on the upper lashline. I rimmed the eyes (tightline and waterline) using Urban Decay 24/7 liner in Zero. I applied Pandora's Box on the lower lashline. I used Ardell false lashes #53.

I will be doing more looks using Sassy Minerals products (mineral foundation, blushes and more eyeshadows), so stay tuned.
