China Glaze and OPI Spring Collection Haul

At long last, after almost three weeks, I finally got my 8ty8 order!

I am disappointed with the shipping time of 8ty8 nowadays. A few months ago, I would get my order in five days flat. This time, if I hadn't called them exactly two weeks after I had put in my order, I doubt if they would have shipped my order that very day. I read from beauty forums that the deluge of orders started to come right after they were featured by fellow polish enthusiasts, either in blogs or on You Tube. I have no problem with that (hey, I'm partly to blame too, I guess!), but I had hoped that they had the logistic machinery to process the orders in a timely manner. This notwithstanding, I still love that site, but I guess I have to prepare myself for a MUCH longer wait.

NOTE: Top left polish should be PASSION, not Poetic.

I got the Warm set of China Glaze's Romantique collection, with Awaken which is part of the Cool set. I am honestly not that impressed with some of the shades, as I think some are much too warm for me. I haven't tried them on my nails yet, so I have to reserve my full review for another time.

I also didn't realize that I clicked Emotion twice while I was in 8ty8's cart, so I received two of these. That's too bad because it was one of those shades that I wasn't really too excited about. This might be a great pedicure color, though. Actually, I am thinking most of these shades are going to be amazing for the toes.

As for OPI's South Beach collection, I got the shades that I don't have similar ones yet in my nail polish collection. I am so loving Sand in My Suit and Overexposed in South Beach. I can't wait to wear these.

Here's my swatches of China Glaze's Passion. It's been a day-old when I took pictures, so it wasn't as fresh as I'd hoped it would appear in the photos.

It's a very pretty gold with strong green undertones, and I really like it. It is more metallic than other China Glaze polishes that I have. I am not bothered by it though, and kinda like it.

Watch out for other swatches of my haul!

How funny that you post about your CG haul today!
I am getting my mani tomorrow with Passion as the base and Awaken on the tips.
I am just in love with China Glaze; I have Joy on my toesies!
I am lucky I have a Sally's, and don't have to worry about mailing times,

izumi- yup, 3 weeks is 21 days of agonizing wait!

Nikki- I'm loving Passion more the longer it stays on my tips!

Vanessa- that's why I can only take 8ty8 in small doses now (i.e., I can't order regularly from them because I can't stand the long wait).

Laurie- I have two Sallys close to work and home, but I prefer an e-tailer because of cheaper prices (even with shipping included) and a wide range of color choices and brands. For example, Sally's doesn't have the Misa polishes that I am currently going nuts about. lol

Pooja- definitely! This collection is best appreciated by metallic/gold/shimmer fans.
