Ms. Manicure Handy Dandy Mani Set and Ms. Pedicure's Heel Cream: A Review

More and more ladies are now into nail polishes and nail care products because they realize that having well-manicured nails is always an advantage, especially because a woman's hands are always a focal point. Some people really splurge on weekly/bi-monthly manicures/pedicures at a posh salon, but what about those who can't afford that luxury especially in these tough economic times? I used to go to salons for regular manicures because, first of all, I didn't know how to properly do my nails and I always mess up my manicures especially if I use my non-dominant hand. I began to realize that good manicure tools are the key, and also regular practice makes it easier to apply polish on one's own hands. Ms. Manicure has an uber-cute, totally tote-able manicure set that would make a girl's life easier when she needs to do her nails. it comes with 9-pro tools for that fabulous, effortless manicure on the go.

Handy Dandy Mani is Ms. Manicure's new product for Spring 2009. It has not one but two zippered pouches that carry 9 pro tools that you can take on the go:

-cuticle nippers
-nail clippers
-nail scissors
-wood cuticle sticks
-nail brush
-washable salon board
-4-way nail buffer
-slant-tip tweezers
-double zippered pocket bag

SRP: $9.99

Check out the product image - it even contains directions on how to use the tools!

UPSIDE: The first time I actually saw this set, I totally shrieked in delight. It is SO cute! First of all, the pink packaging, pink everything, is so girly-girl, so it's perfect for me. The inclements work great. I used this for doing my nails, and I'm glad to say that they work great, especially for the price. For $9.99 for the whole set, I am surprised that it contains a working, decent pair of cuticle nippers. I don't exactly take out my cuticles totally because I know that is bad for the nails, but I need nippers to take out hang-nails, dead skin and to trim my cuticles. The nippers in this set actually worked good and took out all that had to be taken out. I also liked the nail brush to clean the surface of the nail bed and to take out stubborn residue. The wooden orange sticks are very convenient to push down cuticles or to clean polish off the sides of the nails. Overall, I like this kit especially since we regularly go to California on weekends, so this is going to be a permanent resident in my weekend bag. I also like the two zippered pouches because I can add nail polish, base and top coats in them so I can have my very own nail care kit on the go.

DOWNSIDE: I am not liking the nail clippers because they are too small, but I can always replace it with my own. That is pretty much my only gripe.

All in all, this kit is a very good buy especially since you get 9 decent tools for only $9.99, including a working pair of cuticle nippers. Obviously, the upsides overcome the downsides.

I've also had the chance to try Ms. Pedicure Heeling Fine Intensive Heel Cream. I regularly get cracked, dry heels because of the brutally dry environment where I live, especially during winter. My feet thrive on shea butter to prevent cracking and dry skin. I was glad to note that Heeling Fine does indeed have shea butter. I loved the fresh mint scent, and it really does take out the cracked dry heels. It is a pretty generous tube that retails for only $3.99 for 6 oz. of product! I am really amazed at how affordable this product is. Perhaps the only downside is that it only comes in one scent, so if you don't like minty scents or you want an unscented product, then this is not for you.

All in all, I would buy these products again because they actually work and they are very affordable. It is nice to know that there is an alternative to posh nail salons and high-priced nail and body care products out in the market.

The content you have provided is pretty interesting and useful and I will surely take note of the point you have made in the blog.

Today while I was surfing the Internet, I read about Gel Nails being the latest trend now in the nail fashion industry. After reading about gel nails, I think it’s a great way to dress up your nails giving them a trendy look. I also came across this site gel-nails where you can check out some really cool stuff for your nail decoration.

If you are a professional nail artist or run a nail salon, you can get a bulk order discount and use the best nail products for your customers. I have bought the professional luxury gel nail kit from here and this is great value for my money.

I thought this information might be useful for anyone looking for genuine nail decoration stuff and may not know where to buy them from.
