In Focus: Merlot Natural Grape Seed Moisturizer

Packed with powerful natural antioxidants, Merlot's Grape Seed moisturizer works to combat signs of aging triggered by free radicals - the dangerous particles that bombard our skin daily as we encounter smog, pollution, and harmful UV rays. Exposure to free radicals can lead to premature aging as the particles attack our skin's collagen and elastin cells.

What makes Merlot's Moisturizer so effective is its high concentration of natural grape seed polyphenols. "Grape Seeds contain some of nature's most powerful antioxidants," explains Merlot creator Wayne Beckley. "Grape seed polyphenols have been shown to be 50 times more powerful than Vitamin E and 25 times more powerful than Vitamin C."

Merlot Natural Grape Seed Moisturizer is a true beauty breakthrough that delivers a light layer of moisture without harsh chemicals or fragrances. "Merlot's Moisturizer is perfect for even the most sensitive skin. It leaves skin feeling silky while also effectively fighting against particles that damage our skin," Beckley says.

Merlot Moisturizer contains SPF 15, is non-oily and has anti-aging properties.

Since Merlot Skin Care launched in 2001 with its signature Natural Grape Seed Moisturizer, thousands of women have discovered the secret of the seed. "It has really helped my skin," says Merlot devotee Kim Payne. "It has kept me from buying prescription products that I would have to use, and the pricing is phenomenal."

A 4 oz jar of Merlot Moisturizer sells for around $14.

My take on the grape-seed moisturizer: I've found a better lightweight summer moisturizer in Merlot! I've been using a moisturizer with SPF 15 in the daytime and a firming cream at night to go with my retinoid, but Merlot is a lovely alternative and can be used both as a day and night-time moisturizer. I had the chance to try this product and as soon as I peeled off the foil covering the container, I immediately found the lavender cream infused with a very, very, very light scent visually pleasing. The consistency reminded me of yogurt, albeit a little thicker, and the lilac color is totally up my alley. I like that it has SPF 15 because I want to feel secure in the fact that my moisturizer has built-in sun protection. Application is smooth and non-greasy, but it totally made my skin supple and surprisingly took out the flakies caused by my retinoid regimen. I also like the fact that I'm going organic in some of my skincare products. If you are looking for an all-natural moisturizer packed with anti-oxidants to prevent aging with built-in sun protection, give Merlot a try. Best of all, for $14, how can you go wrong? I really like this product, and would like to try their eye cream next. I probably have to avoid buying seedless grapes from now on; I didn't know grape seeds can be this awesome.
