Zoya Spring 2016: #ZoyaPetals Collection Swatches, Review

Press sample

Spring is definitely here, and Zoya has the new Petals collection to usher it in.  It has six flowery (hence, the name) hued colors.  Here are my swatches of the Zoya Petals, and my take on them.

Zoya Tulip

Zoya Tulip is one of my favorites from this collection.  This is described as a pastel salmon cream
with a subtle hint of sheen to mimic the texture of petals.  I love everything salmon colored, so this is right up my alley.  I also think that this is a great color to wear for a spring or summer wedding.

Zoya Zahara

Zoya Zahara

Zoya Zahara is described as a shimmering coral with an opalescent effect.  I am not a fan of shimmery opalescent corals since it looks a little on the frosty side, and frosty is not my favorite nail polish finish.

Zoya Leia

Zoya Leia is a nice opalescent sheer polish.  I prefer to use this as a topper because it is quite sheer.  This would look great over a nice creamy black base.

Zoya Azalea

Zoya Azalea is the perfect color for this collection because the color is very flowery - and it's the perfect azalea color.  It is described as a spring pink with white and fuchsia flash.

Zoya Laurel

Zoya Laurel is a nice carnation pink with a slight sheen to mimic a petal's texture.  It looks very feminine and clean on the nails.

Zoya Aster

I think Zoya Aster is my top favorite from this collection, just because I am a sucker for lilacs.  It is a lilac hue with a strong silver and fuschsia flash.  Looks very springy on the nails.

All in all, Zoya Petals is a solid collection if you are looking for springy, non-traditional cream finishes.  These obviously don't have the cream finish, but either a petal-like sheen or strong flashes of silver or pink.  I am not a fan of the silvery flashes in some of the colors, but I really like Aster.  For the petal-like sheen finishes, I like Tulip the most, followed by Laurel.

Zoya Petals collection is now available on the Zoya website for $10 each, and select salons around the U.S.
