Zoya Spring 2014: Magical Pixie Swatches, Review

Spring is almost here!  Textured nail polish is still very much part of the nail trends in 2014, and Zoya has a new collection of textured nail polishes that have bigger hex glitter that glistens so amazingly in the sun.  The Magical Pixie collection is just that - magical and twinkling like fairy dust.

Here are the three nail polishes from the Zoya Magical Pixie collection, my swatches and my thoughts on these.

Zoya Magical Pixie nail polish in Cosmo

Zoya Magical Pixie nail polish in Cosmo is breathtaking, especially when under direct sunlight.  It's a silver textured polish with lots of bigger hex and circle holgraphic glitter.  So clean and pretty on the nails.

Zoya Magical Pixie nail polish in Vega

I love the name, I love the polish.  Zoya Magical Pixie nail polish in Vega is a light blue textured polish with lots of bigger holo glitter.  So gorgeous!

Zoya Magical Pixie nail polish in Cosmo reminds me of this L'oreal Gold Dust textured polish in 142 Pop the Bubbles, but the latter is a tad more teal than the baby blue of Cosmo.  Pop the Bubbles also don't have the holographic bigger glitter that Cosmo has.

Zoya Magical Pixie nail polish in Lux

If you like romantic light pinks, Zoya Magical Pixie nail polish in Lux is for you.  This is what I imagine pixie dust would look like.  It has the same bigger holographic glitter of the two previous Magical Pixies.

The photos don't lie and these are just amazingly pretty polishes.  Staying power is amazing and these last on my nails longer than regular polishes.  You also don't need to apply a top coat as the latter would probably ruin the textured effect.

My only gripe is that these are very gritty that I sometimes can't take it.  When I scratch my skin, it sometimes feels quite painful.  Nonetheless, I bear it because I love the ultimate textured polishes with amazing holo glitter that twinkle so nicely under sunlight.

What do you think about textured polishes?  I personally love them.  I think this is the best nail trend that has come up in recent years, way better than magnetic and crackle nail polishes.  Even though these feel rough on the nails, I'd still wear them for the nice textured effect.

These Zoya Magical Pixie nail polishes are now available on www.zoya.com for $10 each or $30 for the set of 3.
