Wearing Olay Total Effects Tone Correcting CC Cream under makeup

I've had the opportunity to try the Olay Total Effects Tone Correcting CC Cream Line. We all know what BB Creams are, right? So what are these new CC Creams? CC stands for color-correcting. These products are tinted moisturizer and color-correcting products in one that evens skintone and reduce the appearance of imperfections.

The Olay Total Effects Tone Correcting CC Cream with SPF 15 was the first-ever CC cream that was mass-produced in the U.S. in Ocotber 2012. Olay claims that this product offers immediate color correction while simultaneously providing seven signs of youthful skin over time.

I have been using this product for a few weeks now, and this replaced my day cream as my moisturizer. To top that, it also has additional benefits of the Olay-exclusive Essential Glucosamine Complex. This complex has been shown to deliver a reduction in the apperance of hyper pigmentation in a clinical study published by leading dermatologist Dr. Alexa Kimball. This complex contains N-acetyl glucosamine which purportedly improves skin's moisture barrier and reducing hyperpigmentation. It also contains Niacinamide which reduces the appearance of redness.

All in all, I am liking this CC Cream from Olay. I have hyperpigmentation on my chin area due to acne scars, and I notice that it did lighten the appearance of the dark spots. I also love the transparent tube with the swirly product inside! It's almost hypnotizing haha. It gives a light tint, and since it has SPF15, it's basically a tinted moisturizer with added benefits.

I usually just use a pump of the product, and that's enough for the entire face. You do need an extra pump for your neck, but I use another product for that (another Olay product - Olay Complete with SPF 15). I then let it set and I add a primer and my foundation.

This product works well under makeup, and does not make my face look greasy as the day goes on. The best part is that this does not break me out at all.

I am really liking this product and would recommend it to people who have redness or hyperpigmentation, and would want a day cream that is a tinted moisturizer and color correcting product in one.

I tried this when it first came out, and HATED it. I'm an olay girl and have been since my mom had us using their shea butter body wash. But this is the one product I did not like. It broke me out!

I am glad you like it. but I wasn't impress with the coverage.
