I was able to try the Total Beauty Shops box of goodies called the Prepped and Primed Collection by TotalBeauty.com. It has a $90 value but is only $30 plus shipping. It contains three(!) full sized products and two deluxe sample sizes.
These box has products to pamper and nourish your skin throughout the dry and harsh winter months. There is a collagen booster cream to infuse moisture into the face, as well as a full-size body moisturizer. Here are the products in the box and my thoughts on these.
The Sibu Seed Oil is a lovely surprise, just because I am a big fan of complexion oils. Sibu Seed Oil acts quickly and is readily absorbed into the skin. It claims that it also helps relieve symptoms of rosacea, eczema, acne and dermatitis. It feels light and does not feel greasy into the skin, which is a good thing. You can apply this anywhere on your skin, hair and cuticles.
I love the scent and feel of the Surya Brasil Sapien Body Moisturizer. It smells sweet but not overpowering, and I love the huge 6.76 oz tube. It moisturizes the skin without feeling greasy. I actually use this as a hand cream instead of a body moisturizer because I don't want to run out of the product too soon.
The Doctor Babor Collagen Booster Cream feels luxurious as you apply it on the skin. It has hyaluronic acid complex and marine collagen to help stimulate the skin's natural collagen production, which visibly improves the density and firmness of the skin. This is the claim of the brand, but I have not tried it long enough to confirm such claims. However, I do find this product really moisturizing with a light, clean feeling and without being greasy.
Cures by Avance Hydrating Body Wash deluxe sample ($11 value)
Saint Germain Paris Eye Shadow palette ($5.99 value)
The Saint Germain Paris Eye Shadow Palette has nice sunset-like, warm colors that can be worn year-round. There are two shadows that are chalky and does not have a lot of color pay-off, but the rest apply decently. You can get better wear and color out of these shadows if you use a tacky shadow base underneath.
All in all, I am liking some of the products from this box, especially the Babor Collagen Booster Cream, the Surya Brasil Sapien Body Moisturizer, and the Sibu Seed Oil. I like that many of the products in this box are full-sizes, which more than pays for the price of the box. The products that I just mentioned are wonderful skincare products that are perfect to pamper and moisturize the skin during these dry winter months.
