Skin Base Foundation in Shade Au
Here's my interpretation of Effie Trinket's nails during the reaping in The Hunger Games movie. I am such a fan of the books; I am on the third book and I am excited to finish it! Anyways, for this nail art, I used two coats of OPI More Time For Me, a cream berry-ish mauve, and added one coat of Orly Razzle, a beautiful sparkly magenta, on top. I applied Butter London in The Full Monty over Razzle using a makeup sponge. I did a couple layers and added a third layer on the tip. I used Orly Prisma Gloss Gold glitter topcoat over it.
If I would do this again, I would put the gradient a little lower on the nail, maybe just a little over half of the nail, as my short nails look a little overwhelmed by the gold gradient. Anyways, I really like this design and I would love to use The Full Monty as a sponge glitter gradient over other polish shades.
Happy Hunger Games!
RSVP now for a private screening starring an iconic model as big as anyone who’s ever graced the screen: Kristen McMenamy, photographed and filmed by Miles Aldridge. I love trying out different body washes nowadays. Everyday brings new moods and dispositions, so I like to match my body wash to my mood for a particular day. For days when I feel feminine, carefree and dreaming of tropical beaches, I reach for Vitabath's Asian Orchid and Coconut. Vitabath revitalized its product line with the introduction of the Fragrance Collection - no less than 16 sulfate and paraben-free body washes that contain Vitamins A, B3, B5, C and E, and an anti-oxidant-rich superfruit blend.
The body washes are divided into four subgroups. Vitabath’s In Bloom body washes exude a mix of exotic and flirty florals to create the perfect blends, including Nouveau Rose with evening primrose oil. Asian Orchid and Coconut belongs to the In Bloom sub-group. It smells very clean and fresh, with a slight hint of coconut and floral scents. This particular body wash has Angelica Extract which gives the floral flavor to the product.
What I like about this line is that the full-size product is substantially packaged and sized. The 12 oz. body washes retail for $9.99 each at www.myvitabath.com, Bed Bath & Beyond, ULTA, Duane Reade, Harmon, Ricky’s, and Stage Stores, as well as other locations.

I am really loving this shade. Essie Go Overboard is a gorgeous dusty teal creme from the collection of the same name. It reminds me of deep ocean waters in the Philippines when I went there last year. It just looks very pretty and the deep teal really makes the skin brighter and cleaner. This is actually one of my favorite blue Essies. Application is great and it didn't give me a hard time. This is two coats.
Here are some swatches of the Essie Spring 2012 collection called Navigate Her. I thought I got the whole collection until I remembered that I didn't get the neon orange one as my warm skintone clashes with orange most of the time. Here are the rest of the shades from this collection and my thoughts on them.
A Crewed Interest
I shouldn't have gotten this. It looks very off against my skintone, and maybe because peaches and oranges really make my skin look grubby or something. It is a light peach creme that would probably look great on other skintones.
To Buy, Or Not to Buy?
This is a very nice lilac creme with a nice shimmer in the bottle, but looks exactly like a straight lilac creme when worn. So weird, but I love it nonetheless. I am wearing it right now with white stamped flower images and it looks so feminine and spring-y.
Navigate Her is my favorite green at the moment. It's like a spring garden green creme. Super nice and applies quite well.
Tour de Finance
Tour de Finance is a nice fuchsia with some colored sheen going on. I love it on my nails - it's bright but still very springy. Would work great as a pedi color.
All in all, formula is okay, except for A Crewed Interest which was streaky. I love the shades, although I have seen these before. Not pretty unique, but then again these are spring colors that are in season. I especially love Navigate Her and Tour De France.
