Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors Holiday 2012 Swatches, Review

Nicole by OPI introduces six new Kardashian Kolors for the holidays! I've honestly been using Nicole by OPI just this year, mainly because I never cared for the weird-looking bottle. I tried some of their new releases for 2012 and I was impressed because a number of them even had better formula than some OPIs that I own. That said, I slowly opened my eyes and hands to the Nicole by OPI shades. This season's Kardashian Kolors are full of rich, fall-winter shades and glittery, festive ones.

Here are the six shades and some swatches:

Nicole by OPI Deck the Dolls is a bright, metallic turquoise. I am slowly warming up to this kind of a finish, after dozens of OPIs and Zoyas that have this kind of shiny, metallic formula. This kind of metallic turquoise definitely screams the holidays to me, especially those turquoise decorative balls hanging on Christmas trees with lots of silver and sparkle all around them.

Nicole By OPI Here We Kome A-Karoling is rich, deep grape purple.  Beautiful and very fall-winter.  I like how it's almost black in the shade, but releases deep, rich grape purple tones under direct sunlight.

Very furry-looking!  Nicole by OPI A Gold Winter's Night has gold and turquoise bar glitter, and smaller pink glitter mixed into it.  The glitter is densely packed as you can definitely wear this on its own and not a top coat.  This one is 3 coats.

Nicole by OPI Keeping Up With Santa is a beautiful red.  It's shiny and quite festive.  It's the quintessential holiday red that you wear to Christmas parties and special events.  Love.

Kardashian Kolors Nicole By OPI All is Glam, All is Bright

Nicole By OPI All is Glam, All is Bright  is such a pretty glitter!  It's very densely packed so you can wear this on its own.  It has rose, silver, blue and other multi-hued micro-glitter that looks amazing when worn.  It looks silver from afar but you will definitely see the nuances up-close.  One of my faves from this collection.

Nicole by OPI Kardashing Through The Snow is a beautiful multi-hued micro glitter top coat.  This is great over festive shades like red, gold, green, or even black.  It's best used as a layering polish.  I like that the glitter is small and not chunky, because it's somewhat more wearable, given the multi-colored scheme.

All in all, I like the formula of this set.  They apply well and do not pool on the cuticles.  I am especially loving Here We Kome a Karol-ing, All is Glam, All is Bright and Keeping Up With Santa.  Gorgeous shades!

Limited edition Kardashian Kolor Holiday shades will be available November 2012 for $7.99 each in the U.S. at select Target, KMart, ULTA, CVS, Meijer, Sears, Kroger, H-E-B, Duane Reade, Fred Meyer, Giant Eagle, Harmon, and Winn-Dixie locations. In Canada, these lacquers will be retailed for $10.99 each in Shoppers Drug Mart, Loblaw, and Jean Coutu.
