My first foray into Anastasia's products apart from their brow line was late last year.  I was able to try the Anastasia Beverly Hills holiday offering from 2011 which was the All Eye Want palette. It was such a nice neutral eyeshadow palette that I was impressed with the shades and formula of Anastasia's shadows.  It was my first time to try their products aside from their brow powders and gels.

This year, they released a lipgloss set for holiday 2012 and it is called the Kisses On My List Volume 2 Hydrafull Gloss Set. It comes with six lipglosses and it indicates in the packaging that three are regular glosses and three are Hypercolor glosses.  Hypercolor reacts to your body chemistry and creates a hue that is all your own. Anastasia also claims that the formula improves the appearance and texture of your lips.

I was able to try this set and the shades are very similar in shade in both the peach and pink color family, and they are quite wearable because most are neutral or nude colors that are everyday shades.  The formula is pretty nice- it is sticky enough to adhere to your lips for a longer period of time as compared to other glosses thinner consistency, but it is not too tacky that it would feel uncomfortable when worn.

I've got to say, though, the applicator is rather weird and there is a learning curve to it.  It's a stiff but bendable plastic instead of the sponge applicators and brushes that we've all been used to.  It really made applying the product difficult, until I tried to dab the product on my lips instead of sweeping the applicator across my lips.  There is a trick to it, so try different techniques until you find the one that works for you.

I did notice that it made some of my lip lines look less noticeable, but it's not something dramatic.  This is not a miracle product, but it is a nice one to apply by itself or over a lipstick as it really gives a high shine and luscious lip look.

All in all, I like the feel, texture and megawatt shine of the product, but I know that some people will probably not like the applicator.  It is very different from the ones we are used to, but most people can work with it.
