MAC Styleseeker, Mean & Green and Gadabout Girl Nail Lacquers Swatches, Review

I posted my swatches and review of the MAC Styleseeker collection items, with the exception of the nail lacquers. I also did a video review on the Styleseeker collection. Here is the nail lacquer installment of the MAC Styleseeker series. As I said in my video review, I like that some of the nail lacquers have duochrome or multichrome finish, which is a trend these days. Here are the swatches and my thoughts on all three lacquers.

MAC Styleseeker nail lacquer (sunlight)

(shade)

MAC Styleseeker is my favorite out of the three. I love that it has a duochrome finish and flashes red and orange. The duochrome is readily apparent and I love how it flashes red and orange simultaneously. So pretty and the shades depict the falling leaves of autumn.

MAC Gadabout Girl (sunlight)

(shade)

MAC Gadabout Girl is described as a blackened plum cream, but it's so sheer that I think it's more of a jelly. It's a nice dark, vampy shade but I am not a fan of the fact that I needed at least three coats to make the look even and opaque.

MAC Mean and Green (center)

MAC Mean and Green

MAC Mean and Green first came out in the MAC Venomous Villains collection a couple of years ago. It's described as a purple with teal multi-changing pearl. It's a multi-chrome and this reminds a lot of people of Orly Space Cadet from the Orly Cosmix FX Collection:

Orly Space Cadet

Frankly, Space Cadet is cheaper and I think is just a little more than half the price of MAC Mean and Green. They are virtually the same so it's totally up to you which one you would prefer.

All in all, this is a nice little group of polishes just because of the duochrome or multichrome aspect. I would recomment getting Styleseeker, and if you want a MAC multichrome, Mean and Green is good as well, especially if you can't find Orly Space Cadet.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.0 out of 5

Note: Media samples were provided by a representative of the brand for consideration. All opinions are completely mine.
