Beauty Box 5 Sampling Service Review

I was able to try another sampling service, and it is called Beauty Box 5. It is one of the more affordable subscription services that I've tried as it is $12 per month, or $30 quarterly ($6 savings) or $100 yearly ($44 savings). The subscription is recurring so you need to cancel your subscription if you don't want the service anymore. You get 4-5 products that are catered to your beauty preferences. If you want to see the list of products that are part of this subscription service, check them out HERE.  I was able to try a Beauty Box 5, and here are my thoughts about the samples

The All Natural Face Vegan Eye Shadow in Orange Ice Storm

The All Natural Face Vegan Eye Shadow in Orange Ice Storm came in a full-size jar, which is nice because I hate it when I receive miniscule samples in subscription boxes.  Orange Ice Storm is a shimmer mineral eye shadow, and it is from The All Natural Face Cosmetics which essentially is all about vegan mineral/natural makeup.  Orange Ice Storm is like a very metallic silver loose shadow that would probably work well as a highlight on the inner corners of the eyes, or can be mixed with a mixing medium for an eye liner.  I like that it included a long sponge applicator.

EveryDay Minerals Girl Friday mineral blush (.06 oz/1.7g)

I have not shopped on Every Day Minerals for over five years, but I still remember Girl Friday as one of their best-selling blushes.  This sample comes in a hefty 1.7 oz jar, because you only need a tiny amount of the product for each application.  The picture is a heavy swatch, but you can always opt to apply the product using a stippling brush for a light, lit-from-within flush on the cheeks.  I am loving this shade.  This is probably my favorite out of the products in this box.

Blinc Eye Liner (sample size)

This Blinc liquid liner comes in a very tiny sample packet.  I don't know if it is the packaging, but it is very moist that the product gets goopy on the brush because there is too much product on it.  I would suggest scraping the product off the side of the tube so it does not apply messily.  I like the really dark tint, but I am not a fan of the applicator.

Urban Cosmetics Easy Peeling New Face Effect

I have not tried this product yet, but I just want to show you guys what the box actually contains.  I will do a follow up review after I have tried this peeling facial.

Blum™ Naturals Oil-Absorbing Facial Tissues (50 count)

I need oil absorbing sheets in my life, so this product is a welcome one.  I love the sturdy plastic that encases it, and 50 sheets aint bad at all.  It is very handy to place in your purse for quick touch ups.  It removes oil without messing up your makeup.

All in all, I am liking the products that I got, with the exception of the Blinc mascara applicator.  I like that I got two full-sized products of mineral makeup.  I also got a 50-sheet box of oil blotting sheets as I will be using this for sure.  I also like the fact that Beauty Box 5 lets you choose what kind of subscription you prefer- the monthly, quarterly or yearly, with incentives to savings as you commit longer.  For $12 with at least 2 full size products, I think this is pretty affordable.  I do hope though that future boxes will be as generous as this one that I received.
