Dermelect Nail Lacquer Swatches and Review

Power Trip

Luxurious

I was able to try a few shades from Dermelect's new "The 'Cure" in Your Mani" line. Dermelect is known for their skincare, and I have tried and was impressed by their skincare products, but this is my first time to try their nail lacquers. Dermelect claims that this is the first peptide-infused color treatment. It is DBP, Formaldehyde and Toluene-free, and is UV protected.

The formula is a bit on the thick side, but it is not difficult to apply. Power-trip is a really nice, tomato-red cream, and Luxurious is my favorite, a very feminine lilac cream. When I used both, they had good staying power and lasted days longer than some brands I've tried. I used a good base coat, and Dermelect claims that the first coat instantly bonds to the nail, and the second coat fuses with the first to resist brittleness and chipping. That's probably the reason why the staying power was pretty good.

There are only a limited shades to try, which is probably a downside, but the colors are popular ones, and you are bound to find a shade or two that will pique your interest. I really like these two shades, as these are shades that I can wear anytime and anywhere, and the cream formula is a classic. These are available at Dermelect.com for $14 each.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.0 out of 5
