Total Beauty Collection: Sampling Service with No Subscription Required

Bamboo Shine Luminous Shine Mist

Jean Jacobs Green Tea and Cucumber Body Balm

Blinc Mascara

Have you ever felt chained to a sampling service subscription because you - well- subscribed and you had to take the extra step of unsubscribing? Here is a new sampling service that comes without a subscription.  The Total Beauty Collection is a sampling service that gives out 4-6 premium samples to buyers for $15 a month (although it's odd that for this maiden issue, I only got 3 samples Edited: I found a $15 Pevonia skincare gift card in my box!).  No subscription required. Shipping is free and there are no hidden fees.

For this first issue, I was surprised that I got three hefty samples. They are not the miniscule little baggies or tubes of samples that I used to get from a sampling subscription. I hope this sets the standard for the Total Beauty collection and that the quality does not change.

I got a .85 fl. oz/25 ml of Bamboo Shine Luminous Shine Mist, with organic bamboo and gooseberry for shiny, strong hair as stated in the labels. I gotta admit this did make my hair look glossy, but since I already have oily hair to begin with, I don't think I need this product.

Next is the June Jacobs Spa Collection Green Tea and Cucumber Body Balm. It is a nicely sized sample, 47 ml/1.6 fl.oz. I love the smell of this body lotion. Smells very spa-like and zen-ish indeed! The scent is very relaxing and does remind me of my trips to the spa.

As I said, I also was able to receive a $15 Pevonia Skincare gift card. I can't wait to try this line out.

Lastly, I got the Blinc mascara. I was so excited when I got this! I will make a separate review on the Blinc mascara as I've heard so many good things about this. I can't believe I was able to snag a good-sized sample in a sampling service.

The packaging of the collection is pretty nifty as well. It comes in a separate outer box and in it you can find their signature blue box.  Nestled in the box are the three samples. Opening the package felt like Christmas, and kinda Forrest Gump-esque ("life is like a box of samples, you never know what you're gonna get!").

So here's the fun part. Visit http://www.totalbeauty.com/collection and enter an e-mail address to get advanced notice when a new collection is coming.

"Like" them at Facebook.com/TotalBeauty and follow them on twitter at Twitter.com/TotalBeauty for a chance to score exclusive extras.

The Total Beauty Collection is now on sale, so if you like it, snag it!

The boxes can also be purchased as gifts by putting the recipient's information in the shipping field.

Note: Media sample was provided by a representative of the company for consideration.  All opinions are completely mine.
