Smashbox High Definition Concealer Review

Blended into skin

I've had the chance to try the Smashbox High Definition Concealer that comes in a slim tube. I got the Medium shade which is the perfect shade for me (NC30-35). The first mistake I did was to really squeeze the tube to get some product out. The thin consistency of this concealer made it spurt out in globs all over my hand. What a mess. Remember that this is a runny concealer and not your usual thick one. However, even though it's on the runny side, it spreads rather creamy on your skin and is really good in hiding blemishes. I use this to hide undereye circles. I think the thin consistency is good on the undereye area because it doesn't flake or emphasize fine lines or dry skin. It also does a good job of blending into the skin while at the same time providing coverage.

Also, a tiny glob is all you need; a little goes a long way. Just exert the slightest pressure on the tube to get a small amount of product out. Do not squeeze with all your might or you will end up with wasted product on your skin and clothes.

All in all, I am liking this concealer. It is runny so it doesn't give you a masklike look and feel on your undereye area or anywhere you have blemishes. It also does not emphasize fine lines which is great for dry or more mature skin. It also spreads evenly and creamy and blends into the skin in a pinch.

Pros: creamy, blends well, good coverage, does not emphasize fine lines

Cons: quite runny, needs caution in squeezing product from tube

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.25 out of 5 stars
