Stila Garden Bliss Gift Set Swatches and Review

I've had this set for a few months now, but it's just a few weeks ago when I was able to swatch and try this. I bought it on the Stila website during one of its sales. The Garden Bliss Set comes with a .05 oz lipglaze in Guava, .29 oz. Garden Bliss Palette, a .14 oz. Glamoureyes Mascara, and a golden cosmetic clutch (approx. 8-1/2"L x 5"H x 2"W).

Swatches and review after the jump

Eyeshadows: Enchanting, Whimsy,
Splendid, Fete
Blush: Bloom

The palette is obviously the star of the kit, and this was also the main reason why I got this gift set. I love the blush shade, Bloom. It is a pretty peachy pink with gold shimmer that is perfect for summer. It is a little on the sheer side so you have to apply it liberally if you want a healthy dose of the color. I like to use my MAC 116 brush for this.

The palette also comes in four coordinating neutral shades that are perfect to slap on if you want a polished, not over-the-top but attractive eye look. It has a shimmering champagne, shimmery light gold, a tan and a bronze-brown.

Swatches of the eye shadows and lipglaze:
Enchanting, Whimsy, Splendid
Guava lipglaze, Fete

I really like the shadows- they are buttery, easy to apply and pigmented. I also like the cute cardboard packaging with the built-in mirror for added convenience. Definitely one of the cutest Stila palettes I own.

The lipglaze is a pretty shade, and I love the scent which is typical of Stila lipglazes. This is a smaller version of the regular lipglazes. The shade is quite nice, and it feels very smooth and looks quite luscious, but I am not really a fan of click pens so that is one of the downfalls of this product in my opinion. The formula is pretty sheer so it gives more of a shine than color on the lips. However, this is nice to layer over lipstick if you feel you need more color, or you can just slap this on for a sheer, luscious lip look for summer.

The Glamoureyes mascara is also in travel size, but the head looks regular size to me. I like that it lengthens and volumizes the lashes at the same time.

Lastly, the gold clutch is nice but I feel that it's rather useless to carry makeup in when you're traveling. The magnetic closure prevents the lips of the clutch to fully close, so your makeup items can fall out of the bag.

All in all, this kit is worth it if you are into the neutral eyeshadows and peachy pink blush. I am not a fan of the lipglazes because of the packaging (I really don't like click pens), but I have come to really like the Guava shade and the yummy scent. The mascara makes for a nice travel size product that you can stash in your travel makeup kit. The only thing that I am really not feeling in this kit is the gold clutch.
