The Shielo Hair Care Series Part 2: Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I was provided some products from Shielo, a hair care line that is being talked about in salons in NYC, and about to go national. This is obviously an asian brand and I am very excited to feature a series of reviews on these products. I chose the Volumizing products because I have straight, fine hair, so I would need all the help I can get to create some volume to my tresses.

I already did a review on the Shielo Volume Flexible Hair Spray and Smoothing Complexion Scrub. This time, it is all about the Volumizing Shampoo and Conditioner.

Shielo Volumizing Shampoo

This product smells exactly like the shampoo being used at posh salons. It smells sweet, clean, and fresh. The product itself has a thick consistency and it really made my hair and scalp look and feel clean. I usually have oily hair and scalp, so I wash my hair every day, and I usally skip conditioner because it weighs my hair down and makes it look limp. The Volumizing Shampoo did give great volume to my tresses, but as a result, I felt that my hair became a tad drier. That is the reason why I think the Shampoo should always be used in tandem with the Volumizing Conditioner. By itself, though, the Shampoo worked great in "poufing up" the hair and make it look more volumized.

Shielo Volumizing Conditioner

The conditioner has the same clean, fresh, and "posh" scent of the Shampoo. I only needed a teensy weensy amount, or else the product can bog down my hair. It effectively took out the slight dryness in my hair from the Shampoo without taking away the volume.

Pros: Both products do provide volume to the tresses; amazing fresh, clean scent that reminds me of pampered days at high end salons

Cons: The Volumizing Shampoo can be a bit drying if used alone. Both products should be used together for best results.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

All in all, I like the performance of these products, especially the volumizing aspects of these. I have fine, straight hair, and for me, volumizing products that really work are few and far between. The scent is something I look forward to in the shower (I can't get over the fresh, clean smell). You can get these products at http://www.shielo.com/.
