Avon Ultra Color Rich Moisture Seduction Lipstick Swatches and Review

Rosewine

I was able to try Avon's Ultra Color Rich Moisture Seduction lipstick in Rosewine. What a mouthful! The name describes perfectly what this product does. It combines rich, creamy lip color with visible ribbons of hydrating conditioner for radiant color and deep moisture in one.

The lipstick reminds me of marble cake- slivers of moisturizer drizzle the surface of the product. Avon calls this Aqua Silk Complex that helps seal in moisture. The rest of the lipstick has color-charged pigments that give the lips a bold, bright look.

When I tried this, I was amazed. The product was creamy, buttery on the lips, but the shine and pigmentation were incredible. I agree that this is indeed a marriage of pigment and moisture, the two big requirements of chapped, moisture-deprived lips like mine. My lips never felt dry or chapped with this lipstick on. With some products, too much pigment can deprive the product of moisture; with others, too much slick shine waters down the vibrancy of the color. The Ultra Color Rich Moisture Seduction lipstick is different. It has both strong color and moisturizing properties, as well as amazing shine.

This is how the technology works: the conditioning ribbons restore hydration and moisture, while the ribbons of color coat the lips' surface so color blooms rich, clean and bold. The best part is that SPF15 protects lips from harsh UV rays.

I was so impressed that I now carry this product in my makeup bag, and I tote it wherever I go. I love how it infuses moisture to my lips, and yet coats them with loads of pigment that they scream for attention. At the same time, unlike other lip products, the pigment applies evenly and is not blotchy.

Ultra Color Rich Moisture Seduction Lipstick retails for $8 ($8!!), and is available in ten shades.

I honestly can't think of a downside to this product. Maybe if you like more matte-looking lips, this is not the product for you.  However, since I am a shine fiend, this is totally up my alley. The affordable price and beautiful, rich color and moisturizing properties ain't bad either.

The Shades Of U Rating: 4.75 out of 5 stars
