MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder Look and Review

Top: Light, Medium Plus
Bottom: Medium Dark, Dark Deep

I have been given the opportunity to try out these new Careblend Pressed Powder from MAC. MAC claims the that Studio Careblend Pressed Powder provides sheer to medium coverage with perfect skin adhesion that helps to create a more flawless, refined look to skin. Studio Careblend Pressed Powder’s versatility allows users to apply it alone, over moisturized skin, atop foundation to set, or simply to touch up and perfect skin throughout the day.

What I like about this product is that it does not look powdery at all. I use the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (MSF Natural) for touch ups and it is a tad powdery in my opinion. With the Studio Careblend Pressed Powder, it is sheerer and finer than the MSF Natural that it just gives a veil of refined product onto the skin to give it a polished, finished look.

MAC claims that it is the new generation of pressed powder. Admittedly, it does not look powdery, but I still have to test it in the summer to see if it can defy the heat and give me oil control. So far, so good. It is not chalky and just melds into the skin. It effectively sets makeup and is also good for touchups. It comes in the basic black MAC compact that is chic and looks professional, something you won't be ashamed to pull out from your makeup bag for touch-ups.

I am so looking forward to getting mine in the mail. I use the MAC MSFN a lot and really like it. I can't wait to see how well this blends. I have heard from other people that it is finer than the MSFN and that it wears really well. Thanks for the review :)

Chels Marie- yes it is indeed lighter, sheerer than MSFN, so it is perfect for touch-ups. My pleasure!
