MAC Dazzle Lipstick and Dazzleglass From Digi-Pop Swatches and Review

I got two MAC Dazzle lipsticks from the Digi-Pop collection of Nordstrom. I am not really a fan of glitter lipsticks, but of course I just gotta try this new lipstick formula from MAC. I got Infused With Glam and Hell Raiser because I feel the warm tones of the former would complement my skintone, and Hell Raiser because I am a sucker for lilac-tinged lipsticks, with or without glitter.

Here are some more swatches of the Dazzle lipsticks:

As you can see, they are really on the blingy side, but if you can rock these, it can probably look great on you. I like that they are dazzling enough that they don't need another layer of lipglass to make the puckers "glisten" or look luscious. They apply smoothly on the lips so there is no gritty feel at all.

Here's a photo wearing Infused With Glam:

The Dazzle lipsticks have coordinating shades of Dazzleglasses, which are also part of the Digi-Pop collection:

Of course, I am a sucker for Dazzleglasses so I can't say anything against them, except perhaps if you don't like sticky or glittery lipglosses, these are not for you. Some of the Dazzleglasses from the Digi-Pop collection are also part of my personal collection:

All in all, the Dazzle lipsticks are pretty, but they did not technically blow me away. I like the concept because this gives the consumer a choice of a glittery lipstick if they don't particularly care for the cream, lustre, satin, matte, frost, glaze or creamsheen formulas. I am still more of a cream or creamsheen girl, but I would be happy to wear the Dazzles once in a while because it does brighten up the complexion in a perky but not over-the-top way. I will be using more of the Dazzle lipsticks in upcoming looks/posts.
