Lancôme Inside Scoop: CFDA Fashion Awards

Who was wearing Lancôme at the CFDA Fashion Awards this week? Here is the inside scoop on last night’s makeup looks straight from the makeup artists themselves.

Celebrity makeup artist Sandy Linter worked with Michelle Trachtenberg. She accentuated the eyes by first applying Effacernes Waterproof Concealer in Porcelaine I as a shadow base, under eye base and skin corrector giving Michelle a silky soft complexion. Sandy then lined her eyes with Le Crayon Khôl in Black Coffee giving it a smudged effect for a soft contour. To accentuate her eyes even more, Sandy applied Color Design Eyeshadow in Click for a smoky look and Bikini Golden on the inside. She then coated Michelle’s eyelashes with Ôscillation vibrating mascara to give them an extended effect and finish the look.

Lancôme makeup artist Andrew Sotomayor created Mamie Gummer’s look. First Andrew applied Color Ideal Hydra Compact in Beige Diaphane and Effacernes Waterproof Concealer in Light Bisque to give Mamie a flawless complexion. He then applied Color Design Blush in Retro Rouge to give her cheeks a fresh flush. To make Mamie’s eyes pop, Andrew first conditioned her lashes with the new Ôscillation Powerbooster and coated them with Définicils mascara in Aubergine Royale to give her lashes definition and length. He then defined her brows with Le Crayon Poudre in Taupe and applied Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony to the upper lash line. To finish the look, Andrew used La Laque Fever in Plum Wave to create a high-shine, vibrant pout.

Tallulah Willis popped by the Lancôme boutique on the Upper West Side where makeup artist Lena Lejak created her beautiful look. Lena applied Lancôme Color Design Eyeshadow in Lézard on the lid and Color Design Eyeshadow in Exhibition to the crease of the eye and a touch of Le Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner in Noir to line the upper lash line and create a smoky look. To make her eyes pop even more, Lena applied Color Design Eyeshadow in Filigree to the brow bone and Garment to the lower lash line. She then coated Tallulah’s lashes with Définicils mascara in black. Next, Lena added color to the cheeks using Blush Subtil in Aplum. She finished the look by applying Le Crayon Lip Liner in Berry and Juicy Tubes in Cherry Burst to create a beautiful red lip.

Lancôme national makeup artist Tarek Abbas is Arlenis’ go-to makeup artist so it’s no surprise that he created the look for Arlenis on Monday evening. To create a polished complexion, Tarek applied Dual Finish in Matte Doré III and then added a touch of color to her cheeks using Color Design Cream Blush in Chic Cassis. To define her eyes, he used Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony on the lower lash line and applied Artliner in Noir to the upper lash line starting at the outer corner. Tarek wanted to give Arlenis a soft, shiny pout so he lined her lips with Le Lipstique in Sheer Chocolate, applied Le Rouge Absolu in Bordeaux and finished with a touch of Juicy Tubes in Dreamsicle.

Celebrity makeup artist Dara Klein created the look for actress Lake Bell . To prep the skin, Dara moisturized with Aqua Fusion Cream Moisturizer SPF15 and Progrès Eye for a soft, fresh surface. To accentuate Lake’s bold eyes, Dara applied one of her makeup artist techniques and created what she refers to as the “reversed catliner.” She first blended Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony and High Définicils mascara in black to the lower lash line and finished by lining Hypnôse Waterproof mascara in black to the outer corner of the eye. To finish the look, Dara applied Le Lipstique in Ideal to the contour of her lips giving her a beautiful natural pout.
