MAC Holiday '08 Passions Of Red Warm Eyes Look

I seldom use the Holiday Warm Eyes palette from MAC last year, so I did a look using it. On the lid, however, I used the Sugar Peach Beige mineral shadow from Lisa of My Minerals Bath and Body (MMBB). I've always loved MMBB's mineral shadows- they apply very smoothly, not gritty at all, and application is a cinch because it doesn't look splotchy on the skin. Sugar Peach Beige is one of my favorite shades from MMBB.

For my lips, I used one of the samples given to me by Franchesca of Adorned With Grace Minerals. I received several samples of new lipglosses that are yet to be released, and I loved this particular shade. I hope this gets released eventually because I will be getting a full size of this color for sure.

Here's a step-by-step illustration. All products MAC unless otherwise stated.

Apply Butternutty shadestick all over lid, brows, and lower lashline. Smooth product on the lid with finger. Using a stiff shader brush Loew Cornell Maxine's Mop 3/4", apply MMBB shadow in Sugar Peach Beige wet on the lid using Charged Water.

Using the 224 brush, apply Warm Suede on the crease.

Using Sonia Kashuk blender brush, apply Grand Entrance on crease and outer lid.

Using the same brush, apply Gentle Heat on the crease, blending into Grand Entrance.

Using the same brush, apply more Grand Entrance on the crease, and apply more Warm Suede on the crease, and blend into Grand Entrance using the 224. Apply Brule shadow on the edges of the shadows using the 224 to soften harsh lines.

Using Stila No. 5 brush, apply Sweet Joy shadow on browbone to highlight. Line eyes using MAC Blacktrack fluidline. Apply Victoria's Secret eye kohl in Black Velvet on waterline and tightline. Using the 219 brush, apply Warm Suede shadow on inner lower lashline, and Grand Entarance shadow on outer lower lashline. Apply Red Cherry falsies #503. Apply mascara.

I will attempt to copy this look, LOL. Can you suggest an alternative for the MMBB shadow you used?

Chrystal- thank you!

Mel- I believe you can use Well Spiced in place of Sugar Peach Beige, although it is a little darker. If you want a lighter one, MAC's Blonde's Gold pigment is close to SPB, or if you want a warmer shadow, Jest or Gleam would do. HTH!
