Here are some Joppa mineral swatches from the free sample kit I got from them almost a month ago. I just want to mention that I love the texture of Joppa's colored minerals (for shadows and blushes). It is not the usual shimmery minerals, but they really stick to the skin without a base, and the finish has a satiny sheen and not an outright shimmer. I'm loving it. This reminds me to try out some of my Joppa shadows as I am really liking the texture a lot. Blushing Bride can be a great contour shade for lighter-skinned ladies, or a neutral shadow. Spiceberry is a really pretty color too. A little goes a long way with these babies.
Here's my second batch of Pure Anada samples. These are mostly blushes and complexion correctors. I have nailed my foundation shades in Pure Anada, and I have already bought full sizes of two of their foundations which are on their way to me. The foundation samples are pretty generous and will last you quite a bit because a little goes a long way especially with a formula this concentrated. My gripe however is the miniscule amount in the baggies for blushes. Judging from the amount of the samples, I am thinking the blush samples are only 1/16 teaspoon each. I think that is a pretty small amount to really check if the color is right for you. For shadows, 1/16 of a teaspoon may be alright for some people (for me it's kinda pushing it), but 1/16 for a blush sample is definitely not enough for me. I need at least 1/8 teaspoon of product to apply on my cheeks several times (not just once or twice, at least five times would be a pretty decent amount), just to see if it would look great on at least 3-5 different occasions. It's true that $9 for 12 samples with free shipping is a great deal, but I just wished the blush samples were a bit bigger.
Anyways, here are the swatches of the blushes. Take note that they may apply differently on your cheeks, especially if you use the correct blush brush or fiber optic/stippling brush.

Here's a professional-looking brochure that comes with every order. It tells about the company and the different products it carries.

This post and your July 17 review of Pure Anada foundation prompted me to order samples. (I just got them so I haven't had a chance to find my match yet.) $9 for 12 samples with free shipping is such a good deal! I was surprised by the fast transit time as well, but it makes sense since the postage is domestic. I can't read the postmark but I wonder where the samples are shipped from within the U.S.
02 August, 2008 00:50I was wondering if Anada is pronounced ANN-uh-duh (rhymes with Canada) or uh-NAH-da, but it seems silly to email Candace just to ask about this! :)
Nadine- I'm glad you found your way to Pure Anada via my blog. I'm really loving it. It's pronounced Uh-NAH-da, emphasis on the second syllable. :)
